Introductions

Straight up I just want to say that this isn't a mummy blog. Don't get me wrong, my family is awesome. I genuinely believe that. But I can't imagine you all want to read loads about them, and seriously, my life with my kids is not that interesting! However, I do think family is important, and it's obviously a huge part of my life and who I am, so I can't imagine I would never write about them! I also really like it when I get to know bloggers and their families as if they are friends, so I thought I'd give you a little peek into my world from the outset and then we'll see how much they feature as we go along.

Jon

Jon is my long suffering husband who has travelled this journey with me since I was 19 years old. We met at a wedding, having been previously informed by the bride that we simply must get married because we would be perfect for each other. As you can imagine, we avoided each other like the plague but finally hit it off a few months later... and the rest is history! We lived in London throughout our twenties, having studied there, and we got married when I was 22 after graduation. We've grown up together (or avoided growing up together...) and been through lots of ups and downs, but I wouldn't be without him because I'm not sure I could totally adult if he wasn't here!

Ruby

Ruby is our daughter who was much longed for and the result of many prayers, hence the name - she's our precious gem! She's bright as a button, funny and always full of smiles. She's so much more confident than I have ever been, and she has this ability to change the atmosphere wherever she goes. She loves people and has a real zest for life. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that she's mine!

Joel

Joel is our son (also much longed for!) who utterly completes our jigsaw. He's quite diddy for his age but he has insane strength - both physically and in mental determination. He has these huge blue eyes that are the first thing you see about him, he's a total charmer and is a cheeky chappy. He's a bit of a mummy's boy at the moment and loves a cuddle but once he's comfortable in his environment he certainly makes his presence known!
